I am Anita Bookout, I have been a Licensed Master-Social Worker for the last 20 years. I have a passion for helping individuals as they walk their journey. We all have struggles and I feel led to reach out and provide a helping hand.
My areas of therapeutic knowledge range from grief and loss, trauma, women’s health, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I enjoy working with young adults – older adults to find their strengths and use them to walk alongside them on their journey to healthy living.
My background started by working with children / families dealing with death and dying, and children in the foster care system. I then moved on to the hospital setting working with patients from all walks of life dealing with all types of illnesses and social needs and the lack of resources. But my heart is working with adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, and emotional brokenness. I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups. I have worked with teens through the older generation. I enjoy incorporating expressive arts therapy into my sessions when able. I have my basic training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and am eager to help you be pain free.
It is my goal to meet my clients where they are and support them as they move forward through the process using your strengths to reach your goals. I am currently under the clinical supervision of Carrie Couture, LSCSW.
